If you are a customer of hosting provider Hostinger, you may have received one email now. It should be similar to this. It is regarding a security breach.
As you can see in the image, usernames, IP addresses, first and last names, along with the hashed passwords and contact information are affected.
The hosting provider stated that the unauthorized third party gained access to their internal system API.
They now have restricted the vulnerable system and the access is not available now. The API database table stored data of about 14 million Hostinger users.
The hosting provider has reset the passwords of all the users as a precautionary step. Your financial data is safe as it is not stored in their database.
Hostinger explained this further in a blog post.
